No major changes are expected in the color palette of the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus this year. No color would have been rejected, we should review them all in September with the plus of a couple of integrations, according to the latest rumors coming from China: the five colors in which you can choose iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus would be joined by two more, purple and white, bringing the total to seven.

These, according to the latest rumors, are the seven colors chosen by Apple for the “basic” iPhone 16 range:

blue
rose
yellow
green
black
violet
white.

Purple is one of those colors that may not appeal to everyone, but more than one person may have missed white. To tell the truth, the rumor of the Chinese Fixed Focus Digital on the colors of the next generation of iPhone only mentions iPhone 16 Plus, but the two “basic” iPhones are normally offered in the same colors so we assume that the seven shades will eventually be available as well as iPhone 16 Plus also for iPhone 16.

As far as the design is concerned, on the other hand, the transition from the oblique arrangement of the two rear cameras that characterized the iPhone 13 and iPhone 14 series to the vertical one seen on the iPhone 11 and iPhone 12 does not seem to be in question, but this time in a “pill” island, not squared. The return to the vertical arrangement may be necessary to extend even to low-end iPhones the possibility of being able to record spatial videos to be seen later on Vision Pro.

iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max, on the other hand, will be a story in themselves, both in terms of colors and many other aspects. In recent days, there has been talk of the possibility that the titanium frame will be machined in order to achieve a glossier finish than the brushed one of the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max. Beyond that, the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max could be made in the new Space Black and Rose color variants. The Blue Titanium color would leave the scene to make room for pink, while Space Black should replace the current Black Titanium. The Natural Titanium and White Titanium variants, on the other hand, should be slightly different, the former with a grayer shade, the latter more a silver tending to white.
